About Us
We have lived in the
area since 1998. Previously we have travelled extensively
around Australia, visiting remote and awe inspiring areas. Much
of what has made us appreciate nature and how important and
significant it is.
Grant treats each day, as taking out a group of friends. Explaining
to our guests how the nature of the area works. So that at
the end of the day it is easy to look around and understand
what is happening around you.
Grant has completed The Heritage Interpretive Tourism course
before becoming a tour guide. He also reads constantly to
broaden his knowledge not only on the rainforest, but also
the history of the area.
Dianne is very much a people person and will go out of her
way to find out more information or accommodate our guests
as much as possible. She has worked mainly in the hospitality
industry in very high-pressure jobs, but finally found her
niche in working in the tourism industry selling tours and
informing new visitors about what the Port Douglas area has
to offer.
Together we make a productive and effective team in the running
of Daintree Discovery Tours.

Hi there,
Just like to say thanks so much for a brilliant day out we had up in Daintree. I still can't believe we seen three cassowaries in the wild. It was amazing. I had never heard of them until came to Oz. Unfortunately we are back home in Scotland and we don't have such interesting wildlife, but it didn't stop me looking in the trees for big birds on the way home from the airport! We would definitely recommend anyone to do this tour. Thanks again and hope to back soon.

Dear Grant
Just thought that I would drop you a line now that I have returned to
England to tell you that our day trip with you on 17 May to Daintree and
Cape Tribulation was one of the highlights of our entire month visiting Oz!
We learnt so much, found it very beautiful and your passion came across to
