Morning Tour Overview

Here is a tour that allows you to swim at the base of a waterfall without the worry of crocodiles, or having to spend a whole day getting there.

Heading off nice and early allows us plenty of time to enjoy the morning. First off is a drive up to Daintree Village and our tour boat "Adrift with Nature". Be taken out on an informative trip to view the beauty of this area and with the chance of spotting the wildlife (croc's among other things!) that call the river home.

Time for a sumptuous morning tea and then it is off to "RiverHome" cattle station where our trusty soft top Land Rover awaits.Travel along the station tracks and through creeks in true "safari" style, to get close to our destination. We walk the last 200 metre's under the rainforest canopy  to get to the magnificent Cassowary Falls. Here we not only get to look at the waterfall, but it is totally safe to jump on in! This is one of life's true pleasures. Nothing beats swimming around and standing under a waterfall.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT THIS TOUR

Fantastic tour, highly recommended.  My husband and I loved it, as did our 17 and 15 year old kids.  The kids were not interested in going to the Daintree and they both said it was a highlight of our Port Douglas stay, better than the helicopter and jet skiing, and on par with the micro light flight.  Murray was our tour guide and he really made the trip, very passionate, interesting and delightfully entertaining.  The swim at Cassowary Falls is one of the best things you can do in the Daintree, and we loved the drive in the very old army truck across the little farm.

Afternoon Tour Overview

This is a great tour for people that only want to spend a half day out or those short on time. Two areas are visited on this trip. Mossman Gorge, where we conduct an interpretive walk along the paths to the swimming hole. Learn about the forest and all it’s intriquicities. Time for a swim in the Gorge itself. Also this afternoon we visit the Daintree River for a 1 hour river cruise looking out for all manner of creatures including crocodiles, snakes, birds, frogs and more. A great way to spend an afternoon.
